Combined heat and power (CHP)
Combined heat and power (CHP) systems produce electricity and heat simultaneously, from the same primary energy source, gas in this instance.
Electricity is generated by means of an alternator mounted on a gas turbine. The turbine is rotated by burning gas, and the heat energy produced by this operation is used to heat water for distribution by the heat network.
